How does this work?
- CO2 Emissions are calculated on the Australian average of 0.000979333 kilograms.
- Cost per light and labour are excluded from yearly savings to simplify calculation. LEd lights last approximately 10 times as long as standard halogen lights.
- Yearly power consumption is calculated as Power per light x (365 x hours per day) = Yearly KWH
- Yearly power cost is calculated as Yearly KWH x cost per/KWH = Yearly Power Cost
What are all these light fittings?
Verbatim LED bulbs are available as direct replacements for ALL common lighting fittings. It is important to check the fitting and form to make sure it fits into the light fixture.
What about CFL?
Whilst CFL lights are a lot more efficient than their halogen counterparts, they are still not as efficient as LED Lamps. LED Lamps feature a number of key benefits over CFL, making them the wiser and more responsible replacement option.
- LED Lamps do not contain any mercury, making them a greener, recyclable option. CFL lights contain mercury.
- LED Lamps are instant on. CFL lamps have a delayed start.
- LED lamps have an average of 35,000 hours life expectancy. CFL is only around 6,000 to 15,000 hours, meaning they have to be replaced more often.
